Darwinia Biflora
''Darwinia biflora'' is a plant in the myrtle family Myrtaceae and is Endemism, endemic to New South Wales. It is an erect, often straggly shrub with flattened, wikt:glabrous, glabrous leaves, and flowers which are arranged in pairs. The flowers are greenish in colour but each is surrounded by two purple-red Bract#Bracteole, bracteoles and have a long yellow-green Stigma (botany)#Style, style projecting out of the flower tube. The species only occurs in the Sydney region in a few places where shale-capped ridges intergrade with Sydney sandstone, Hawkesbury sandstone. Edwin Cheel
Edwin Cheel (14 February 1872 – 19 September 1951) was an Australian botanist and collector. Before being appointed as a staff member of Centennial Park in 1897 he was a gardener in New South Wales and Queensland. Later he transferred to the Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney. In 1908 he joined the National Herbarium, and was appointed Chief Botanist and Curator from 1933 to 1936. He described plants in the Myrtle family such as ''Melaleuca howeana''.
