Darwin Jones (soccer)
Darwin L. Jones (born April 4, 1992) is an American soccer player. Career Youth, College and Amateur Jones spent his youth career with Washington Premier FC and the Seattle Sounders FC Academy before beginning his college career at Highline College. In his only season with the Thunderbirds, Jones tallied 15 goals and 10 assists and led the team to the semifinals of the NWAC. On February 6, 2012, it was announced that Jones transferred to the University of Washington. However, on August 26, it was reported that Jones did not meet the state of Washington's Direct Transfer Agreement and would not play for the Huskies in 2012. He would join the Huskies in 2013 and in his two seasons with the team, he made a total of 37 appearances and tallied 15 goals and nine assists and helped lead the Huskies to a Pac-12 title in 2013. Seattle Sounders FC Players
Seattle Sounders FC is an American soccer club founded in 2008, after the city of Seattle was awarded a Major League Soccer (MLS) franchise. Sounders FC began playing competitive soccer in the 2009 season. It plays its home games at Lumen Field, competing in the Western Conference of the MLS. The current Sounders FC is the third soccer team from Seattle to bear the ''Sounders'' nickname. The tradition was started by Seattle's North American Soccer League team in 1974, and continued by the city's United Soccer Leagues side, formed in 1994. United Soccer League (USL), formerly known as United Soccer Leagues, is a Association football, soccer league in the United States and Canada. The USL Championship (USLC) is a professional men's soccer league in the United States that began its inaugural season in 2011. The USL is sanctioned by the United States Soccer Federation (U.S. Soccer) as a Division II league since 2017, placing it under Major League Soccer (Division I) in the hierarchy. Superettan (; meaning the super first (division)) is an association football league and the second highest league in the league system of Swedish men's football. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Allsvenskan and Division 1.
