Darren Petrie
Darren Petrie (born 26 July 1995) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder. Petrie has previously played for Dundee United, Raith Rovers and Stirling Albion, as well as Brechin City, Dumbarton and Albion Rovers on loan. Early life Petrie was born in Stirling, where he played youth football for Carse Thistle. He signed his first professional contract with Dundee United in June 2011. Career Club A member of Dundee United's under–20 side, Petrie aged 17 made his first team debut on 2 January 2013, appearing as a substitute in a 2–2 draw with Aberdeen at Pittodrie Stadium. On 18 October 2013, Petrie signed for Brechin City on an initial one-month loan. On 4 November 2013, he signed an extension to his United contract, keeping him at the club until May 2015. Stirling
Stirling (; sco, Stirlin; gd, Sruighlea ) is a city in central Scotland, northeast of Glasgow and north-west of Edinburgh. The market town, surrounded by rich farmland, grew up connecting the royal citadel, the medieval old town with its merchants and tradesmen, the Old Bridge and the port. Scottish League Two
The Scottish League Two, known as cinch League Two for sponsorship reasons, is the fourth tier of the Scottish Professional Football League, the league competition for men's professional football clubs in Scotland. The Scottish League Two was established in July 2013, after the Scottish Professional Football League was formed by a merger of the Scottish Premier League and Scottish Football League. Since the 2014–15 season, the bottom team has entered a play-off against the winner of a play-off between the winners of the Highland and Lowland Leagues for a place in the following season's competition. Format Teams receive three points for a win and one point for a draw. No points are awarded for a loss. Teams are ranked by total points, then goal difference, and then goals scored. 2014–15 Scottish Championship
The 2014–15 Scottish Championship is the 20th season in the current format of 10 teams in the second tier of Scottish football. Heart of Midlothian won the title on 22 March 2015 and secured their return to the Scottish Premiership with a record seven matches remaining, after Rangers defeated city rivals Hibernian 2–0. This marked the first time since the 1984-85 season that a side in the same division as an Old Firm club won a league title in Scotland. Teams Rangers were promoted as 2013–14 Scottish League One champions, whilst Heart of Midlothian were relegated from the 2013–14 Scottish Premiership. 2013–14 Scottish League One
The 2013–14 Scottish League One was the 19th season in the current format of 10 teams in the third-tier of Scottish football. This was the first season of the competition being part of the newly formed Scottish Professional Football League after the merger of the Scottish Premier League and the Scottish Football League. Queen of the South were the defending champions. Rangers were confirmed as champions after a 3–0 home win over Airdrieonians on 12 March 2014. This secured the club's second successive divisional title and promotion to the second tier. This was the earliest anyone had secured a championship title since Partick Thistle won the old First Division in 1975–76.
