Darren McNamara
Darren 'D-Mac' McNamara (born 10 September 1982) is a professional drift driver from Cork, Ireland. McNamara first competed in the Irish Prodrift series and the British D1 Great Britain series (now EDC), winning the Prodrift title in 2006. He drove a Toyota AE86 with a Nissan SR20 engine. In 2007 he was invited to compete in the American Formula D series. He achieved his maiden win at Wall Speedway and a second place at Road Atlanta. In the 2012 Formula D Season, McNamara started at Long Beach in the Falken Tire Saturn Sky. After a crash in his top 32 battle with Kenneth Moen, the Sky was damaged and not usable for future competition. For Round 2 and 3, he drove the Falken Tire 350Z, formerly driven by Tyler McQuarie. For Round 4 and 5, he competed in the Falken Tire Nissan Silvia S15 with a V8. For the 2013 season McNamara drove a newly built V8 powered Nissan S14. Cork (city)
Cork ( , from , meaning 'marsh') is the second largest city in Ireland and third largest city by population on the island of Ireland. Road Atlanta (known for sponsorship reasons as Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta) is a road course located just north of Braselton, Georgia, United States. The facility is utilized for a wide variety of events, including professional and amateur sports car and motorcycle races, racing and driving schools, corporate programs and testing for motorsports teams. The track has 12 turns, including the famous " esses" between turns three and five; and Turn 12, a downhill, diving turn. British Drift Championship
The British Drift Championship is a drifting series held in the UK. It is the highest level of competition drifting in the UK. The series began as a feeder series to the European Drift Championship. However, the partnership between the BDC and EDC organisers ended at the end of the season and the BDC became a professional series in its own right. The series originally had two classes, Semi-Pro and Pro. However, due to the vast growth of the championship a third class was added for the 2011 season, called 'Super Pro' which became the highest class. The top drivers in the Pro class were merged into this new class. For the 2015 season the championship reverted to two classes; the three classes from 2014 were merged to create the Pro-Am and Pro class. The rotary engine is an early type of internal combustion engine, usually designed with an odd number of cylinders per row in a radial configuration. The engine's crankshaft remained stationary in operation, while the entire crankcase and its attached cylinders rotated around it as a unit. Wall Stadium (also known briefly as Wall Township Speedway) is a 1/4-mile (0.25 miles inside measurement and 0.29 miles outside by the guardrail), high banked (30° in corners) paved oval track in Wall Township, New Jersey, United States.
