Darren Jackson (Australian Footballer)
Darren Jackson (born 7 December 1961) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Geelong in the Victorian Football League (VFL). A full-forward from Finley, Jackson came to Geelong after winning the Murray Football League's leading goal-kicker award in 1983. He made two senior appearances for Geelong in the 1984 VFL season, against Collingwood at Kardinia Park in round seven and Essendon at Waverley Park in round eight. Jackson went on to have a long and decorated career at Finley, being the Murray Football League leading-kicker a further three times, in 1986, 1989 and 1997. He also had a stint with South Australian National Football League (SANFL) club South Adelaide. Finley Football Club
The Finley Football Club, nicknamed the ''Cats'', is an Australian rules football and netball club based in the town of Finley located in the Riverina district of New South Wales. The club's football and netball teams currently play in the playing in the Murray FNL, which Finley joined in 1933. History The club held an Annual General Meeting in 1895 and entered the Murray Border Football Association, then in 1899 joined the Federal District Football Association . Finley FC competed in the Southern Riverina Football Association from 1905 to 1931 and played in 16 grand finals in that period and winning 10 premierships. Waverley Park
Waverley Park (also and originally called VFL Park) was an Australian rules football stadium in Mulgrave, Victoria, Australia. For most of its history, its purpose was as a neutral venue and used by all Victorian-based Victorian Football League/Australian Football League clubs. However, during the 1990s it became the home ground of both the Hawthorn and St Kilda football clubs. It ceased to be used for AFL games from the 2000 season following the opening of Docklands Stadium. It is currently used as a training venue by Hawthorn. The main grandstand and oval are listed on the Victorian Heritage Register. The seating capacity is now 6,000, down from a peak of 72,000–90,000. Farrer Football League
The Farrer Football Netball League (FFNL) is an Australian rules football and netball competition containing nine clubs based in the Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia. The league features three grades in the Australian rules football competition, with these being First-Grade, Reserve-Grade and Under 17s. In the netball competition there are four grades, with these being A-Grade, A-Reserve Grade, B-Grade and C-Grade. Currently a home and away season consisting of eighteen rounds is played.
