Darpan Chaya
Darpan Chaya ( Nepali: दर्पण छायाँ, English: The Illusory Mirror) is a 2001 Nepalese romantic drama film, written and directed by Tulsi Ghimire. The film is produced by Shrawan Ghimire under the banner of Siddhanta Films. The film features an ensemble cast including Dilip Rayamajhi, Uttam Pradhan, and Niruta Singh in the lead roles, alongside Laxmi Giri, Tika Pahari, and Jeetu Nepal. The film's plot concerns a love triangle between two best friends where one of them is blind, fall in love with the same girl and the whole film follows their journey of friendship, love and sacrifice. Tulsi Ghimire
Tulsi Ghimire is an Indian film director, screenwriter, film editor, cameraman, actor and lyricist known for his works in Nepali films. Regarded as one of the greatest filmmakers of Nepali cinema, he is known for his romantic and masala film that dealt with social issues of Nepali society, portrayal of deep human emotions and masala films. He has directed some of the iconic Nepali films like Kusume Rumal, Deuta, Laure, Chino, Dakshina, Balidan and Darpan Chaya. Majority of his movies in 1990s were blockbusters and two of the movies Kusume Rumal and Darpan Chaya went on to become the highest grossing Nepali film of all time. Laxmi Giri
Laxmi Giri (; born 19 January 1955) is a veteran Nepali actress whose career spans more than 35 years. She worked on stage, television and in feature films of Nepali, Newari, Maithili, Tamang and Bhojpuri languages. She appeared in more than 150 feature films, over 600 television programs (including six "mega–serials") and nearly 20 advertisements. She started to work in television in 2042 BS, immediately after the establishment of Nepal Television. Her most notable stage role was in MaHa Jodi's ''Bigyapan'', performing in at least 289 performances nationally and internationally, including in 35 different states in the United States, 3 countries in the United Kingdom, as well as Hong Kong and India.
