Darnell Lamont Robinson (born May 30, 1974 in Oakland, California) is a retired American professional basketball player and a member of the University of Arkansas Arkansas Razorbacks, Razorbacks 1994 NCAA national champion men's basketball team, playing center (6'11" 245 lbs). He holds the national high school career record for most blocked shots with 1,187 Robinson was selected a McDonald's All-America following an exceptional high school career at Emery Secondary School, Emery High School, where he finished as the leading scorer in California boy's high school basketball history with a total of 3,361 points (breaking the previous record held by Tracy Murray). Darnell Robinson (born February 9, 1991) known professionally as Darnell Roy is an American rapper, record executive and record producer. He appeared in ''First Family of Hip Hop'' as the president of Sugar Hill Records (hip hop label), Sugar Hill Records. Early life Roy was born in Tenafly, New Jersey, United States. He is the grandson of Sylvia Robinson, the founder of Sugarhill Records. In 2008, he enrolled at SAE Institute in Atlanta, Georgia, but left to pursue music. The ''Parade'' All-America Boys Basketball Team was an annual selection by '' Parade'' that nationally honored the top high school boys' basketball players in the United States. The 1996 NBA draft was the 50th draft in the National Basketball Association (NBA). It was held on June 26, 1996 at Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey. In this draft, NBA teams took turns selecting college basketball players and other first-time eligible players, such as players from high schools and non-North American leagues. Rasheed Abdul Wallace (born September 17, 1974) is an American basketball coach and former professional player. A native of Philadelphia, Wallace played college basketball at the University of North Carolina before declaring for the draft in 1995, where he'd play 16 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Originally selected by the Washington Bullets (now known as the Washington Wizards) as the fourth pick in the 1995 NBA draft, Wallace was named to the All-Rookie second team following his first season. McDonald's All-America
The McDonald's All-American Game is the all-star basketball game played each year for American and Canadian boys' and girls' high school basketball graduates. Consisting of the top players, each team plays a single exhibition game after the conclusion of the high-school basketball season, in an East vs. West format. As part of the annual event, boys and girls compete in a slam dunk contest and a three-point shooting competition, and compete alongside All-American Game alumni in a timed team shootout. The last of these competitions replaced separate overall timed skills competitions for boys and girls. It is rare for girls to compete in the slam dunk contest.
