''Dark World'' (russian: Тёмный мир, Transliteration, translit. Temny Mir) is a 2010 cinema of Russia, Russian urban fantasy film directed by Anton Megerdichev. The film was the first Russian 3-D film, 3D format movie. Plot A group of students on a field trip to Lapland (region), Lapland uncovers an ancient shield. One of the students gets possessed by some sort of spirit essence and when a supposed rescue team arrives an epic battle over an entity trapped in the shield begins. Urban fantasy is a subgenre of fantasy which places imaginary and unreal elements in an approximation of a contemporary urban setting. The combination provides the writer with quixotic plot-drivers, unusual character traits, and a platform for classic fantasy tropes, without demanding the creation of an entirely-imagined world.
