Dark Angel is a DC Comics supervillain who battled Wonder Woman. She is a wandering spirit who inhabited the body of Baroness Paula Von Gunther during World War II. Recently it was revealed that Dark Angel was, in fact, the Donna Troy of the pre-''Crisis'' Earth-Seven, saved from certain death by the Anti-Monitor. The character first appeared in ''Wonder Woman'' vol. 2 #131 (March 1998). Dark Angel (Shevaun Haldane), originally Hell's Angel, is a fictional superheroine appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics under their imprint Marvel UK. She first appeared in ''Hell's Angel'' #1 (July 1992). The character and the comic book were both renamed to ''Dark Angel'' with issue #6 due to legal threats from the Hells Angels biker club. Their lawsuit was settled by Marvel agreeing to pay $35,000 as a charitable gift to Ronald McDonald House in the name of both Marvel and the Hell's Angels, in addition to renaming the character. Warren Kenneth Worthington III, originally known as Angel and later as Archangel, is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics and is a founding member of the X-Men. Created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in ''The X-Men'' #1 (September 1963). Angel is a mutant, an evolved species of humans who are born with superhuman abilities. The character originally possesses a pair of large feathered wings extending from his back, enabling him to fly. He is the heir of the Worthington family fortune, and this privileged background results in Warren being stereotyped as self-absorbed and unable to deal with hardships during his early years with the X-Men. Kia Asamiya
, best known by the pen name , is a Japanese manga artist whose work spans multiple genres and appeals to diverse audiences. He is well known for using influences from American comics, television, and films in his work, and describes himself as a big fan of Batman and ''Star Wars''. One of the most widely published Japanese manga artist, nearly all of his stories have been translated into other languages, including English. His two most successful and popular manga series to-date are ''Martian Successor Nadesico'' and ''Silent Möbius''. Before becoming a manga artist, Asamiya graduated from the Tokyo Designer School, then worked as a character designer for a number of anime series, and even designed models for some of the later Godzilla films (1980s).
