''Dark Adrenaline'' is the sixth studio album by Italian metal band Lacuna Coil. The album was produced by Don Gilmore (Linkin Park, Bullet For My Valentine), and mixed by Marco BarussoCayne Modà, Laura Pausini, Eros Ramazzotti). The album debuted at number fifteen on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart with initial sales of 20,000. It also charted in the top five on four other Billboard charts including the Rock Albums, Alternative Albums, Hard Rock Albums and the Independent Albums charts. The album was also successful throughout Europe, charting in ten countries, six of which Lacuna Coil have achieved their highest chart positions in those countries to date. This album has charted in fifteen countries. Lacuna Coil
Lacuna Coil is an Italian gothic metal band from Milan. Since their formation in 1994, the group has had two name changes, being previously known as Sleep of Right and Ethereal, and they have recorded nine studio albums, two extended plays, two live albums, two compilation albums, one video album, and sixteen singles and music videos. Inspired by the combination of Gothic aesthetics, gothic imagery and music, the members have been known, musically, for composing mid-tempo songs consisting of prominent guitar lines and contrasting dual female/male vocal harmonies to help create a melodic, detached sound. Much of the band's recent material, however, sees a heavier and more down-tuned style, featuring a more distinct bass line and a higher mixing of the guitars within the songs. "I Won't Tell You" is the third single from Lacuna Coil's fifth album, ''Shallow Life''. The single was released to radio on 6 October 2009 and was played on American radio station KROQ-FM and 97x. The single was digital only. Music video The music video for "I Won't Tell You" was directed by the Italian director and producer Roberto Cinardi with the pseudonym of SaKu and premiered on the official MySpace page of the band on Tuesday 12 January 2010. The video was shot in Milan at the BaseB on 5 December 2009 and was produced by the Italian production company Red Rum. Andrea Ferro, the vocalist of the band, revealed the concept of the video. "Spellbound" is the first single released by Lacuna Coil's fifth studio album, ''Shallow Life''. The song is their first chart entry on the U.S. ''Billboard'' charts since "Our Truth" in 2006. It debuted at #36 on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, and has become their first Top 30 single on that chart. The single officially debuted on 21 February 2009, when the band performed at the Soundwave Festival in Brisbane, Australia. Andrea Ferro
Andrea "Andy" Ferro (born 19 August 1973 in Arona, Province of Novara, Region of Piedmont) is an Italian singer, best known as the male vocalist and one of the founding members of Italian gothic metal band Lacuna Coil. Ferro founded Lacuna Coil with Marco Zelati in 1994 under the name Sleep of Right (they would also use Ethereal as their band name before Lacuna Coil). The two formed the band during the winter in Zelati's house in the winter when it was "too cold to skate". At first the band covered classics with just a guitar and vocals; eventually they became more interested in music than skating, Ferro said "because of the age and the girls and all the injuries".
