Daria Kolosovskaya
Daria Kolosovskaya (russian: Дарья Колосовская; born 19 April 1996) is a Russian professional basketball player. Career Europe In 2014, Kolosovskaya began her professional career with Sparta&K Moscow, playing in the Russian Premier League and the EuroCup. Here she played alongside the likes of Stefanie Dolson and Emma Meesseman. Kolosovskaya remained a part of the roster for both the 2015–16 and 2016–17 seasons. National team Youth level Kolosovskaya made her international debut at the 2012 FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship in Hungary, where Russia took home the bronze. In 2013, Kolosovskaya moved up to the FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship in Croatia, where Russia placed fifth. Kolosovskaya returned to the Under-18s in 2014, helping lead Russia to Gold. Russian Women's Basketball Premier League
The Russian Women's Basketball Premier League is the premier women's basketball competition in Russia. The category consists of 11 teams playing a total of 20 rounds. At the end of the regular season the top eight teams play the play-offs throughout April, ending in a 5 matches final. UMMC Ekaterinburg is the most successful team in the championship with 15 titles, including a record 13-year winning streak. Defunct team CSKA Moscow, later relocated to Samara as VBM-SGAU Samara (9), Dynamo Moscow (4) and Spartak Moscow Region (2) follow in the palmares. Thanks to large number of foreign players, WBPL teams have been successful in the Euroleague since the 2000s, with Spartak Moscow Region winning 4 titles in a row (a competition record since 1976), UMMC Ekaterinburg winning 6 titles, and VBM-SGAU Samara and Dynamo Kursk one each. The EuroCup Women (officially ''FIBA EuroCup Women'') is the second-level basketball competition with teams from associate members of FIBA Europe. It succeeds the Ronchetti Cup. The 2017 European Women Basketball Championship, commonly called EuroBasket Women 2017, was the 36th edition of the continental tournament in women's basketball, sanctioned by the FIBA Europe. The tournament was awarded to Czech Republic after winning the bid to Serbia. The tournament also serves as a qualification for the 2018 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup in Spain, with the top five nations qualifying. As hosts Spain finished in the top five, the sixth placed team also qualified. The championship was reverted to a 16 teams championship, after the 20 teams that participated in 2015.
