Darell Scott (born March 15, 1986 in Columbia, South Carolina) is a former American football defensive tackle. He was drafted by the St. Louis Rams in the fourth round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He played college football at Clemson Tigers football, Clemson. Early years Scott was a three-year starter at Ridge View High School in Columbia, South Carolina where he had 242 career tackles, 31 tackles for loss, seven sacks, 35 quarterback pressures, four caused fumbles, six recovered fumbles, and one defensive touchdown. A defensive tackle (DT) is a position in American football that will typically line up on the line of scrimmage, opposite one of the offensive guards, however he may also line up opposite one of the tackles. Defensive tackles are typically the largest and strongest of the defensive players. 2009 NFL Draft
The 2009 NFL Draft was the seventy-fourth annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible football players. The draft took place at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, New York, on April 25 and 26, 2009. The draft consisted of two rounds on the first day, starting at 4:00 pm EDT, and five rounds on the second day, starting at 10:00 am EDT. To compensate for the time change from the previous year and in an effort to help shorten the draft, teams were no longer on the clock for 15 minutes in the first round and 10 minutes in the second round.
