Danzetsu
is the debut album by Japanese singer-songwriter Yōsui Inoue, released in May 1972. Backing tracks of the album were mainly played by the instrumentalists of The Mops, and they were arranged by the group's guitarist Katz Hoshi. Hoshi continued working as an arranger for most of Inoue's studio albums released in later years. Prior to the album, "Jinsei ga Nido Areba" came out as a single (B-Side was the album's title track which features his aggressive vocals that homage Paul and Linda McCartney's song "Monkberry Moon Delight"). ''Danzetsu'' is best known by "Kasa ga Nai" which was released as the second single from the album. It became one of his signature songs, and later recorded by multiple artists like Off Course, Kazuyoshi Saito, UA, Mucc, and Akina Nakamori. Yōsui Inoue
is a Japanese singer, lyricist, composer, guitarist and record producer, who is an important figure in Japanese music. "Hailed as the Bob Dylan of Japan .. He is renowned for his unique tone, eccentric lyrics, and dark sunglasses which he always wears. Under the stage name Andre Candre, Inoue debuted in 1969 and released a single "Candre Mandre" by CBS Sony Records. After he changed his stage name and signed onto Polydor, he recorded his first studio album '' Danzetsu'' in 1971, and the album was acclaimed by critics. Inoue gained recognition as a folk-rock singer-songwriter through his 1973 '' Kōri no Sekai'' album, which became the first long-playing record that sold more than a million copies in Japan alone. Folk Rock
Folk rock is a hybrid music genre that combines the elements of folk and rock music, which arose in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom in the mid-1960s. The Mops
The Mops (Japanese: ザ・モップス) were a Japanese psychedelic rock/garage rock group active in the late 1960s and early 1970s. History The Mops were formed in 1966 by a group of high schoolers: Mikiharu Suzuki (drums), Taro Miyuki (guitar), Masaru Hoshi (or Katu Hoshi) (guitar), and Kaoru Murakami (bass). They began as an instrumental rock group similar to The Ventures, but soon after forming, Mikiharu Suzuki's brother Hiromitsu joined on lead vocals. The group began to play psychedelic rock at the suggestion of their manager, who had brought home recordings of American hippie groups such as Jefferson Airplane from his trip to San Francisco. Kazuyoshi Saito
is a Japanese singer-songwriter. Making his professional debut in 1993, Saito's popularity exploded in 2007 after 15 years in the music industry. He is also one-half of the rock duo Mannish Boys with Tatsuya Nakamura and a member of the supergroup the . In 2013, Saito became the first Japanese musician to have a signature model acoustic guitar with Gibson. As of 2020, he had six signature models with them and one with Epiphone. Early life Saito was born to parents who worked for a toy maker in Mibu, Tochigi. He has two sisters, one older and one younger. He started playing with a guitar in elementary school. Mucc
is a Japanese visual kei rock band, formed in Ibaraki Prefecture in 1997. The classic line up of Tatsuro on vocals, Miya on guitar, Yukke on bass, and Satochi on drums was solidified in 1999 following the departure of original bassist Hiro. Career After the working with Yosui Inoue's band, Kisugi debuted as a singer-songwriter with single ''Asai Yume'', released in 1976.
