Danyor Springs
Danyor (Urdu:, Burushaski language, Burushiski and scl, دیّور) is a city in the namesake sub-division in Gilgit District lies across the river Gilgit in the outskirts of the Gilgit, capital of Gilgit-Baltistan. Danyor Suspension Bridge
The Danyore Suspension Bridge is in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan, and is one of the oldest makeshift suspension bridges in the region. The bridge connects Danyor to the premises of the Karakoram University across the River Hunza. Currently the bridge is closed for vehicles; only pedestrians and motorcyclists are allowed to pass through. Winds coming from northwest of the valley set the suspension bridge to swing inducing minute resonances, and it is therefore declared unsafe for normal traffic. In 2013 a two-way concrete bridge was constructed beside it that is being used as an alternative. The Gilgit District ( ur, ) is one of the 14 districts of Pakistan-administered territory of Gilgit-Baltistan. The headquarters of the district is the town of Gilgit. A Bagoro (plural form: ''Bagoreh'') is a member of an ethnic group living in the Bagrot Valley, Bagrot and Taisot valley, alongside the banks of river Bagrot, village of Jalalabad, Gilgit, Jalaalabad, and in Danyor city. The group shares the same language, cuisines and traditions. Chinese Cemetery Danyor
The Gilgit Chinese Memorial Cemetery (, ), locally known as the China Memorial ( scl, چائنہ یادگار, lit=Chinā Yadgār), is a graveyard located in Danyor, Gilgit–Baltistan, about ten kilometres away from the capital city of Gilgit across the Gilgit River. The cemetery, established in early 1970, serves as the final resting place of Chinese workers and engineers who died during the construction of the Karakoram Highway (KKH) in Pakistan throughout the 1960s and 1970s. The tombstones placed over the graves contain epitaph inscriptions in Chinese characters. In August 2011, a Chinese delegation consisting of retired People's Liberation Army soldiers, journalists and a relative of a worker visited the cemetery to pay homage to the deceased. The visit was widely publicized in the Chinese media. Bagrot Valley
Bagrote Valley ( ur, وادی بگروٹ) is a valley in the Karakoram Mountain range in the Gilgit–Baltistan region of northern Pakistan. River Bagrote flows through the valley from the north towards the southwest of the valley, supplies water to Jalalabad and Oshikhandass and merges with the Gilgit River. Geography The Bagrot valley extends between 2,500 and 4500 meters above sea level. The principal locality of the valley is Farfu (formerly called Furpui), also known for its landscape and high mountains such as Rakaposhi 7788 m, Diran 7266 m, Bilchar Dobani 6138 m and the summit of Fafuraj, Miar Peak, Godeli and many other peaks that surpass six thousand meters above sea level. Nomal Valley
Nomal ( Shina, ur, ) is a small valley located at a distance of 25 km north of Gilgit city in the Gilgit District, in northern Pakistan. The valley is also connected with Nalter Bala and Nalter Pain through a metaled road. Shina and Brushaski are spoken by the people and all inhabitants of the valley are adherents of Islam. Geography Since the times of Rajas (in Shina means ''Rahs'') the valley is divided into ''mohallah''s or sectors. The mohallahs are: Sigal, Majini, Jigot, Batot, Kamalabad, Ishphis, Momin Abad, Sadaruddinabad, Das and Khaltarot.
