Dantu District
Dantu District () is one of three districts of Zhenjiang, Jiangsu province, China. A development called Dantu New City was constructed in the district and was underoccupied since around 2005 and criticized as a ghost city by international media. However, since 2013 the development has been filling up with residents with many operating shops and offices, becoming a functional suburb of urban Zhenjiang. There are two islands that belong to Dantu, in addition to the Yangtze River at the north it has a town. It is bordered to the east by the Jiajiang neighborhood in Yangzhong. To the south-east lies Danyang and to the west is Jurong. Jurong, Jiangsu
Jurong () is a county-level city under the administration of Zhenjiang, Jiangsu province, China. In 129 BC, the then Prince of Changsha Liu Fa's son, Dang became the Marquis of Jurong. As he died soon, the lands enfeoffed to him became Jurong county in the next year. Jurong was under the jurisdiction of Nanjing historically, but it was annexed to the Prefecture of Zhenjiang in 1950, then Zhenjiang in 1983. The county was converted into a county-level city in 1995. Danyang, Jiangsu
Danyang () is a county-level city located on the southwest (right) bank of the Yangtze River, and is under the administration of Zhenjiang, Jiangsu province, China. It is noted for the production of optical lenses used in sunglasses and eyeglasses. Danyang has a total area of and a population of roughly 890,000. Yangzhong
Yangzhong () is a county-level city under the administration of Zhenjiang, Jiangsu province, China. It is the easternmost county-level division of Zhenjiang City. History There were only several smaller shoals in the area of present-day Yangzhong during the Eastern Jin. As time went on, they enlarged and merged into an elongated shoal by Tang dynasty, which was called Xiaozhou (; literally: "Small shoal") in Song dynasty. It was renamed Xinzhou () and then Ximinzhou () during Ming dynasty, and was designated Taipingzhou () in Qing dynasty.
