Dante Silverio
Edmundo "Dante" S. Silverio, Sr. (born October 17, 1937), is a Filipino people, Filipino painter, former basketball coach and former champion race car driver. Motorsports Silverio rose to prominence in 1972, when he captured a rare double feat, winning the International Greenhills Grand Prix and, two months later, the Royal Rally of Champions. Basketball Toyota (1973-1979) Silverio became involved in basketball when he formed the Toyota Super Corollas, Toyota Athletic Club (Komatsu Komets/Toyota Comets) in 1973 which participated in the Manila Industrial and Commercial Athletic Association, MICAA. From being its team manager, he became its head coach in 1974 after coach Nilo Verona left the team. In the PBA, he led the franchise to five championships and six runner-up finishes. Shell Turbo Chargers
The Shell Turbo Chargers were a Philippine Basketball Association team from 1985 to 2005. It won four PBA championships, two from 1998 to 1999. Shell sold its franchise to PBL team Welcoat Dragons, Welcoat Paints in February 2006. Ernesto Estrada (basketball)
Ernesto "Estoy" Estrada (November 7, 1949 – May 17, 2015) was a Filipino people, Filipino basketball player. A feared outside shooter, Estrada played for San Miguel Corporation in the amateurs and spent eight seasons in the Philippine Basketball Association from 1975 to 1982 with San Miguel Beermen, Royal Tru-Orange, Toyota Tamaraws, Toyota, where he was part of two championships in 1978, Great Taste Coffee Makers, Great Taste and Mariwasa-Honda. Baby Dalupan
Virgilio "Baby" Adam Dalupan (October 19, 1923 – August 17, 2016) was a Filipino basketball coach and player. Dubbed "The Maestro", Dalupan was best known for his lengthy coaching tenure with the Crispa Redmanizers and garnered a career total of 52 basketball championships. During his 16-year Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) career (1975–1991), Dalupan won 15 PBA championships, the most by any PBA coach until February 26, 2014, when Tim Cone won his 16th PBA championship during the 2013–14 PBA Philippine Cup. Dalupan's record of 15 PBA titles went unmatched for 23 years (1990–2013) until Cone tied Dalupan's record on October 26, 2013, during the 2013 PBA Governors' Cup. Crispa Redmanizers
The Crispa Redmanizers were a multi-titled Filipino basketball team that played in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) from 1975 to 1984. It was one of the nine founding teams of the PBA, winning a total of thirteen PBA championships, including two Grand Slam (PBA), grand slams. Founded in 1956 by businessman Valeriano "Danny" Floro, the team was owned by P. Floro and Sons, Inc. (defunct). Profile and history Named after the retail store and textile manufacturing company owned by the Floro family, the Redmanizers were managed by sportsman Danny Floro and coached for many years by the legendary Baby Dalupan, Virgilio "Baby" Dalupan. Fort Acuña
Fortunato "Fort" Acuña (April 17, 1948 – July 6, 1981) was a Filipino professional basketball player and coach. A 6'1" center/forward, he played for the UP Fighting Maroons in the UAAP. In the MICAA, Acuña played for the Meralco Reddy Kilowatts until it disbanded in 1972. He joined the newly formed Toyota Comets in 1973, along with Meralco teammates Alberto Reynoso, Orlando Bauzon, Robert Jaworski and Francis Arnaiz. He continued with the Toyota team when the franchise transferred to the Philippine Basketball Association in 1975. Acuña retired from active play after the 1978 PBA All-Filipino Conference and began serving as assistant coach for Toyota.
