Dante Olson
Dante Olson (born January 6, 1997) is a former American football linebacker. He played college football at Montana Grizzlies football, Montana. Early life and high school Olson first began playing football in second grade, primarily playing right tackle on the offensive line and sometimes played fullback. He was bullied in middle school for being overweight, and developed an eating disorder, was diagnosed with depression and anxiety, and contemplated suicide. As a freshman at Cascade Christian High School, Olson was cut from the football team. He tried out for the basketball, baseball and tennis teams. By his senior year, he was three-time captain on the football team and helped lead Cascade Christian to a state championship. He posted 135 tackles, including 11 for loss, three interceptions, seven passes defensed, one sack, one forced fumble and a defensive touchdown. Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen. Gerber is a census-designated place (CDP) in Tehama County, California. Gerber sits at an elevation of . The 2010 United States census reported Gerber's population was 1,060. History Gerber was platted in 1910, and named after the Gerber family, original owners of the town site. A post office has been in operation at Gerber since 1916. In the early years, Gerber was a center supporting ranchers and alfalfa growers. Between 1916 and 1965, Gerber was the location of a division point on the Southern Pacific Railroad between the Sacramento and Shasta Divisions. Situated two miles north of the junction of the West Valley Line to Davis and the East Valley Line to Sacramento via Chico and Marysville, facilities included steam locomotive fueling, repair and crew-change. The Southern Oregon Raiders football team represents Southern Oregon University in the sport of American football. The Raiders team competes in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) as an associate member of the Frontier Conference. Southern Oregon University has fielded an official football team since 1927 and has an all-time record of 349–351–15 (a .499 winning percentage). The Raiders play in Raider Stadium in Ashland, Oregon, which has a capacity of 5,000.
