Danny Williams (rugby League, Born 1973)
Danny Williams (born 4 September 1973) is a former Ireland international rugby league footballer who played in the 1990s and 2000s. He retired from playing at the end of 2006's Super League XI following two seasons with London Broncos/Harlequins RL. He is an Ireland international. Early life Williams was born in Hornsby, New South Wales, Australia. Williams played junior rugby league with the Woy Woy Roosters, a highlight during that time was playing under 12's, and remaining undefeated the whole season and winning the premiership. He was educated at Umina High School, where he represented 1991 Australian Schoolboys. Playing career North Sydney Williams made his first grade debut with North Sydney Bears in 1993. He made a total of 66 appearances for the club including the 1996 preliminary final defeat against St George, scoring 3 tries and 1 goal. Leeds Rhinos
The Leeds Rhinos are a professional rugby league club in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. The club was formed in 1870 as Leeds St John's and play in the Super League, the top tier of English rugby league. They have played home matches at Headingley Stadium since 1890. In 1895, Leeds was one of twenty-two rugby clubs that broke away from the Rugby Football Union and formed what was originally the Northern Union, but is now the Rugby Football League. Steve Linnane
Steve Linnane (born 5 March 1965) is an Australian former rugby league player who played in the 1980s and 1990s, and coached in the 2000s. After playing club football in the Winfield Cup for the St. George Dragons and the Newcastle Knights, he moved to England where he became coach of Super League clubs Halifax Blue Sox and the Hull Kingston Rovers. Playing career As a young , Linnane was signed to the St. George Dragons in 1985. He was named Dally M Rookie of the year and was also the 1985 NSWRL season's top try scorer with 16 tries. Also playing in that year's Grand Final, he narrowly missed out on a premiership in his debut season as the Bulldogs beat the Dragons by just one point. NRL Judiciary
The NRL Judiciary is the disciplinary judiciary of the National Rugby League (NRL), a rugby league competition. The Judiciary regulates the on-field conduct of players from NRL clubs. Due to changes announced on the eve of the 2022 NRL season, the NRL Judiciary is made up of former players who convene in two-man panels to rule on on-field incidents. The judiciary has been chaired by Supreme Court of NSW Justice Geoffrey Bellew since 2015. Bellew has the deciding vote should the panel's verdict not be unanimous. 2004 NRL Season
The 2004 NRL season (also known as the 2004 Telstra Premiership due to sponsorship from Telstra) was the 97th season of professional rugby league football in Australia, and the seventh run by the National Rugby League. Fifteen clubs competed during the regular season before the top eight finishing teams contested the finals series. The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs defeated the Sydney Roosters in the 2004 NRL grand final and in doing so claimed their eighth premiership. Pre-season The beginning of the season was largely overshadowed with several Bulldogs players questioned by police in relation to an alleged rape of a 20-year-old Coffs Harbour woman.
