Daniel Rose (politician)
Daniel Rose (July 31, 1772 – October 25, 1833) was an American politician from the State of Maine. He was a member of the Democratic-Republican Party, and served as president of the Maine Senate. He briefly served as the fourth Governor from January 2 to January 5, 1822, filling an unexpired term between the administrations of Benjamin Ames and Albion K. Parris. Rose was born in the Connecticut Colony and graduated from Yale University in 1791. He settled in Alna, Maine and studied and practiced medicine in nearby Boothbay. Rose served as a member of the Maine Senate from its founding in 1820 until 1824. He was the President of the Maine Senate from in 1822 and 1823. Upon finishing his terms in the Maine Senate, Rose was moved to Thomaston, Maine and became the Warden of the Maine State Prison The Maine State Prison was erected in Thomaston, Maine in 1824 and relocated to Warren in 2002. Daniel Stephen Rose (born 21 February 1988) is an English footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Darlington, where he is also a first-team coach. A former captain of Manchester United Reserves, Rose joined Oxford United in 2007 following a four-month loan spell. He switched to Newport County the following year, and helped Newport to the Conference South title in 2009–10. He was sold to Fleetwood Town in January 2012, and was part of the side that won the Conference Premier title in 2011–12, before returning to Oxford in June 2013. After a short spell with Northampton Town in 2016, he spent three seasons at Portsmouth and one with Swindon Town before signing for Grimsby Town in 2020. Daniel Lee Rose (born 2 July 1990) is an English professional footballer who plays as a left-back. He last played for EFL Championship club Watford. Rose started his professional career at Leeds United in 2006, having progressed through the club's youth ranks, but left for Tottenham Hotspur in July 2007 having never played for Leeds. Having failed to break into the first team, he joined Watford on loan in March 2009, making seven appearances, and then joined Peterborough United on loan in September 2009. Daniel Rose (born 11 December 2003) is a professional footballer currently playing as a goalkeeper for the Marshall Thundering Herd college team. Born in England, he has represented the Republic of Ireland at youth international level.
