Danny Price (baseball Coach)
Danny Price is a former college baseball coach and former player. He was the head coach of the Florida International University (FIU) baseball team, a position that he held from 1980 until May 2007. During that span, he recorded a thousand coaching victories, reaching that milestone on March 10, 2005. He was then head coach at Miami Dade College from 2011 until his retirement in 2019, after which he planned to engage in charitable work. Price, the son of a sharecropper born in North Carolina, attended FIU and played on its baseball team as a student in 1973–74. He made the first hit for FIU, which had opened its doors a year before. He graduated in 1974, and returned as a hitting instructor in 1976. Former FIU baseball players coached by Price include Major League Baseball star Mike Lowell, and over one hundred other students signed to play professional baseball with major and minor league teams. Daniel Anthony "Danny" Price (born 15 September 1985) is a British retired professional boxer, best known for winning the national amateur title in 2006 at 201 lbs/91 kg. Career Amateur The 1.98m/6'6 tall Price fights for Scarborough club Westway ABC. He is not related to David Price. Price won Bronze at the 2004 junior world championships as a light heavyweight after losing to Ismaikel Perez by RSCO in the semis. He defeated David Dolan at heavyweight at the Multi-Nations Tournament 2005 26:11. He has had problems with the draw in international events so far. Daniel Price (1975-2003) was a successful New Orleans-born artist working and living in San Francisco, California. He was murdered while protecting his wife late at night on December 19, 2003. Early life and education Daniel Buckner Price was born on February 25, 1975, to Dr. Steve and Mrs. Kathy Price of New Orleans. Price was raised in New Orleans with his three siblings and graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School (New Orleans). While in high school from 1989-1993, he also attended New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA). Price then attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas where he received a Bachelor or Fine Arts degree from SMU's Meadows School of Fine Arts in 1998.
