Danny Nettey
Danny Nettey (19 September 1968 – 15 July 2016) was a Ghanaian musician and songwriter. He was best described as one of the pioneers of Contemporary Gospel music in Ghana. Early life and education Danny was born in Accra where he developed the love for music at a tender age. Danny Nettey was known for writing songs for most gospel artistes in the country and songs which were being ministered in his local church. He attended High school at Accra Academy where he became the music director and also the President of the local Scripture Union Fellowship. Music career Beginning his music career, Danny Nettey started his own group, "Danny Nettey and Pals". This group sought to take gospel to the Secondary Schools and ministering in churches across West Africa through the word and song ministration. Bebe Winans
Benjamin "BeBe" Winans (born September 17, 1962) is an American gospel and R&B singer. He is a member of the noted Winans family, most members of which are also gospel artists. Winans has released nine albums, seven with his sister CeCe Winans, CeCe as BeBe & CeCe Winans and one with three Winans brothers. ''The PTL Club'' Winans released several albums, first with his sister CeCe Winans, CeCe, and later as a solo (music), solo recording artist, artist. Jim Bakker's television show ''The PTL Club'' took interest in BeBe and his sister CeCe as background vocalists for the show. After going to North Carolina to audition they were accepted. The siblings moved to the PTL campus in North Carolina, and were on the show for about five years. Alvin Slaughter
Alvin Martin Slaughter (born July 17, 1955) is an American gospel musician, worship leader, and singer-songwriter. Slaughter is based out of New York City, where he was a member of the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir until the early 1990s, when he was signed by Integrity Music and began his solo career. He has been nominated for several Dove Awards and performed on the TBN television network. He is married to Joy Slaughter, where they together reside in New York. Slaughter is no longer signed to Integrity Music and hasn't released any official music since 2008. Kirk Franklin
Kirk Dewayne Franklin (born January 26, 1970) is an American songwriter, choir director, gospel singer, and rapper. He is best known for leading urban contemporary gospel ensembles such as The Family, God's Property, and One Nation Crew (1NC) among many others. He has won numerous awards, including 16 Grammy Awards. ''Variety'' dubbed Franklin as a "Reigning King of Urban Gospel", and is one of the inaugural inductees into the Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame. Early life A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Franklin was raised by his aunt, Gertrude, having been abandoned as a baby by his mother. Ron Kenoly
Ron Kenoly (born December 6, 1944) is an American Christian worship leader, singer, and songwriter whose expressed mission is "to create an environment for the manifest presence of God". His musical style is one of jubilant praise and individual excellence on musical instruments. Although Kenoly himself only plays on one of his recordings, he leads comfortably with his voice and is always backed up by musicians and a large choir. He holds several degrees, including a music degree from Alameda College, a Master of Divinity from Faith Bible College, and a Doctorate of Ministry in Sacred music from Friends International Christian University. His music career began following time spent in the United States Air Force. He was originally with a group called The Mellow Fellows, but family issues caused him to leave the group.
