Danny Goldring
Danny Goldring (May 31, 1946 – December 2, 2022) was an American film, stage and television actor. He is known for playing former homicide detective and Tom Kane's childhood friend Ryan Kavanaugh in the American political drama television series ''Boss''. Life and career Goldring was born in Woodstock, Illinois, the son of a United States Navy officer. He attended a preparatory school in Maryland. Goldring then attended Trinity University. At the age of 18, while Goldring was visiting some friends of his in New York, it was suggested to him that he should become an actor. Goldring served in the Signal Corps branch of the United States Army. After being discharged, he worked in construction in Maryland, where he made his stage debut in a production of ''A Thurber Carnival''. ''Matlock'' is an American mystery legal drama television series created by Dean Hargrove, starring Andy Griffith in the title role of criminal defense attorney Ben Matlock.
