Daniel Davis (born November 26, 1945) is an American film, stage and television actor. Davis is best known for portraying Niles the butler on the sitcom ''The Nanny'' (1993 to 1999), and for his two guest appearances as Professor Moriarty on '' Star Trek: The Next Generation'', affecting an upper class English accent for both roles. He voices the intelligent Cro-Magnon, Longhair, from the Longhair and Doubledome cartoon shorts from Cartoon Network's ''Big Pick''. Early life and education Davis was born in Gurdon, Arkansas, and grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas, Little Rock. His parents operated a cinema. Daniel Davis (born March 28, 1956) is an American former professional wrestling referee and wrestler best known under the ring name "Dangerous" Danny Davis when he worked for the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). For years, he competed as Mr. X, a masked wrestler while also working as a referee. As a referee, Davis played the role of a crooked referee who showed blatant favoritism toward certain wrestlers, with the storyline that this eventually led to his removal as a referee. He then helped manage The Hart Foundation and began wrestling as "Dangerous" Danny Davis. Dan David ( he, דן דוד; ‎23 May 1929 – 6 September 2011) was a Romanian-born Israeli businessman and philanthropist. Biography Dan David was born to a Jewish family in Bucharest, Romania. He joined a Zionist youth movement at the age of 16. After studying economics at university, he worked for Romanian television and became a press photographer. In 1958, his newspaper asked him to travel to West Germany on an assignment. When he requested an exit permit, he was accused of being a Zionist activist and was fired from his job. He left Romania for Paris in August 1960, later settling in Israel. The following year, he traveled to Europe. David died in London on 6 September 2011. Dan Davis (born 17 September 1998) is a Welsh rugby union player. A flanker, he plays rugby for the Scarlets. Davis is a Wales U20 international. Club career Davis came up through the Scarlets U16 and U18 ranks, having played for Llandeilo RFC in his youth career. He played at centre and back row, before focussing on the latter. Danny Davis (born June 22, 1988 in Highland, Michigan) is a professional snowboarder. He was voted 2006 Rookie of the Year in the Transworld Snowboarding Riders Poll Awards, 2006 Rookie of the Year for Snowboarder Magazine, and 2008 Snowboarder Magazine Top 10 Riders of the Year. In January 2010 Davis won a snowboard Grand Prix event but not a spot on the US Olympic Team for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. He is the founder and former owner of Ohio Valley Wrestling. Career Briley started wrestling in 1977 in the Tennessee territory, where he made a name for himself as "Nightmare" Danny Davis.
