Danny Coughlan
Danny Coughlan is a British singer and guitarist from Bristol. He performs under the name "Crybaby". In an article in ''Vice'' magazine, Tom Watson, then deputy leader of the Labour Party, has described him as a "master songwriter". His debut Crybaby album, ''Crybaby'', was released by Helium Records on 9 April 2012 to rave reviews. It was produced by Chris Hughes. The track "When the Lights Go Out" was on the soundtrack '' Colossal'' which was released in 2017. A collaborative project between singer-songwriter Tracyanne Campbell (Camera Obscura) and Danny was released by Merge Records in May 2018 with the title Tracyanne & Danny. Thomas Anthony Watson, Baron Watson of Wyre Forest (born 8 January 1967) is a British former politician who served as Deputy Leader of the Labour Party from 2015 to 2019 and Shadow Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport from 2016 to 2019. A member of the Labour Party, he was Member of Parliament (MP) for West Bromwich East from 2001 to 2019. Since 2022 he has been a member of the House of Lords. Christopher Merrick Hughes (born 3 March 1954, London, England), also known as Merrick, is a British music producer, songwriter, and drummer for Adam and the Ants. Best known as producer of Tears for Fears' ''Songs from the Big Chair'', and as the co-writer of "Everybody Wants to Rule the World", Hughes has a joint background as a musician, songwriter and producer. Colossal (film)
''Colossal'' is a 2016 science fiction fantasy black comedy film directed and written by Nacho Vigalondo. The film stars Anne Hathaway, Jason Sudeikis, Dan Stevens, Austin Stowell, and Tim Blake Nelson. The film follows an unemployed writer who unwittingly manifests a giant creature in Seoul while struggling with alcoholism and an abusively controlling colleague. The film is an international co-production between producers in Canada, Spain, the United States and South Korea. Tracyanne Campbell
Tracyanne Campbell (born 18 May 1974) is a Scottish singer and musician who is the lead vocalist of the Glasgow-based indie pop band Camera Obscura. Born in Glasgow, Campbell founded Camera Obscura alongside John Henderson and Gavin Dunbar in 1996. The band released ''Biggest Bluest Hi Fi'', '' Underachievers Please Try Harder'', '' Let's Get Out of This Country'', ''My Maudlin Career'' and '' Desire Lines''. They have worked beside Tucker Martine, Stuart Murdoch and Peter Bjorn and John. Campbell spoke of the loss she felt after bandmate and friend Carey Lander died in 2015. Camera Obscura is a Scottish indie pop band from Glasgow. The group formed in 1996, and have released five albums to date – the most recent of which, '' Desire Lines'', was released in 2013. The current members of the band are vocalist Tracyanne Campbell, guitarist Kenny McKeeve, bassist Gavin Dunbar, and drummer Lee Thomson. The band undertook an extended hiatus in 2015, following the death of long-serving keyboardist Carey Lander. The surviving members later reconvened in 2018. Edwyn Stephen Collins (born 23 August 1959) is a Scottish musician, producer and record label owner from Edinburgh, Scotland. Collins was the lead singer for the 1980s post-punk band Orange Juice, which he co-founded. After the group split in 1985, Collins started a solo career. His 1995 single " A Girl Like You" was a worldwide hit. In February 2005, Collins was hospitalised after two cerebral haemorrhages which resulted in aphasia, and he needed months to recover.
