Danny Brown (actor)
Daniel Dewan Sewell (born March 16, 1981), better known as Danny Brown, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. He was described by MTV in 2011 as "one of rap's most unique figures in recent memory". After amassing several mixtapes, Brown released his first studio album, '' The Hybrid'' (2010). He began to gain major recognition after the release of his second studio album, ''XXX'' (2011), which received critical acclaim and led him to be named "Artist of the Year" by ''Spin'' and the ''Metro Times''. His third studio album, ''Old'' (2013), reached No. 18 on the US ''Billboard'' 200 chart and spawned the singles "Dip", "25 Bucks", and "Smokin & Drinkin". Lead Single
A lead single (also known as a debut single) is the first single to be released from a studio album by an artist or a band, usually before the album itself is released and also occasionally on the same day of the album's release date. Release strategies Artists often choose songs that are more up-tempo, yet representative of the album's sound, as lead singles. Such songs are often catchier and attract the attention of listeners. The subsequent single might then be slower in tempo, in order to demonstrate the range of the album. Female vocalists like Mariah Carey and Christina Aguilera often maintain a formula of an up-tempo first lead single with a slow ballad follow-up. Rotation (music)
In broadcasting, rotation is the repeated airing of a limited playlist of songs on a radio station or satellite radio channel, or music videos on a TV network. They are usually in a different order each time. However, they are not completely shuffled, so as to avoid varying the time between any two consecutive plays of a given song by either too much or too little. When measuring airplay, the number of times a song is played is counted as spins. Stations playing new music typically have a short rotation of around four hours, while stations playing "classics" may go as long as eight hours, with a few stations promising "no repeats" where a song is not played again during a broadcast day to allow a much broader playlist (or if there is a purposeful repeat on that type of station, it ties into a station contest for a prize, such as tickets to the played artist's concert). Street crime is a loose term for any criminal offense in a public place. The difference between street crime and white-collar crime is that street crime is often violence that occurs in a public area whereas white-collar crime is non-violent crime conducted by governments or private industries for the purpose of financial gain.
