Danny Bridge
Danny Bridge (born 4 January 1993) is an Ireland international rugby league footballer who plays for Oldham in Betfred League 1. Background Bridge was born in Oldham, Greater Manchester, England. He is the younger brother of Chris Bridge. He was suspended from playing in 2020 after testing positive for cocaine, however it was reported on 14 Jan 2021 that his ban had been reduced due to a WADA rule change. Club career Bridge started his career at Waterhead before joining Wigan Warriors in 2009. He played for the club's academy sides, but left the club in July 2011 when he was signed by Warrington Wolves for an undisclosed fee. Loan at Bradford Bridge was loaned to the Bradford Bulls at the start of the 2014 season for a month. He re-signed for another month once his current loan deal expired. Oldham
Oldham is a large town in Greater Manchester, England, amid the Pennines and between the rivers Irk and Medlock, southeast of Rochdale and northeast of Manchester. It is the administrative centre of the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, which had a population of 237,110 in 2019. Widnes Vikings
The Widnes Vikings are an English rugby league club in Widnes, Cheshire, which competes in the Betfred Championship. The club plays home matches at the Halton Stadium. Founded as Widnes Football Club, they are one of the original twenty-two rugby clubs that formed the Northern Rugby Football Union in 1895. Their historic nickname is "The Chemics" after the main industry in Widnes, but now they use their modern nickname, "The Vikings". 2017 Rugby League World Cup Qualification – Europe
The 2017 Rugby League World Cup Europe qualification was a rugby league tournament held in October and November 2016 to decide the three European qualifiers for the 2017 Rugby League World Cup. It consisted of a round-robin tournament which saw Wales and Ireland qualify by winning their respective tables. Italy claimed the final qualifying spot in the World Cup after winning a second place play-off against Russia on 4 November 2016.
