Danièle Gégauff (née Rosencranz, died 2007) was a French actress and line producer. She was married to the French actor and screenwriter Paul Gégauff. Danièle Gégauff worked with executive producer Stéphane Tchalgadjieff. Danièle Gégauff played Esther in Claude Chabrol's movie ''Une partie de plaisir''. Paul Gégauff
Paul Gégauff (10 August 1922 – 24 December 1983) was a French screenwriter, actor, and director. He collaborated with director Claude Chabrol on 14 films. Among his films are ''Les Biches'', ''Plein Soleil'' and the autobiographical '' Une Partie de Plaisir''. In 1962, he and René Clement received an Edgar Award from the Mystery Writers of America as the screenwriters for ''Plein Soleil'', which was named Best Foreign Language Film. His first marriage to film producer and actress Danièle Gégauff ended in divorce. They had a daughter actress and singer, Clémence Gégauff. He died after being stabbed by his second wife, Coco Ducados, on Christmas Eve 1983. Chabrol once said of Gégauff: "When I want cruelty, I go off and look for Gégauff. ''Out 1'', also referred to as ''Out 1: Noli Me Tangere'', is a 1971 French film directed by Jacques Rivette and Suzanne Schiffman. It is indebted to Honoré de Balzac's ''La Comédie humaine'', particularly the ''History of the Thirteen'' collection (1833–35). Known for its length of nearly 13 hours, the film is divided into eight parts of approximately 90–100 minutes each. The vast length of ''Out 1'' allows Rivette and Schiffman, like Balzac, to construct multiple loosely connected characters with independent stories whose subplots weave amongst each other and continually uncover new characters with their own subplots. A shorter version of the film exists, and its ''Spectre'' subtitle was chosen for the name's ambiguous and various indistinct meanings, while the '' Noli me tangere'' ("touch me not") subtitle for the original version is clearly a reference to it being the full-length film as intended by Rivette. Marguerite Germaine Marie Donnadieu (, 4 April 1914 – 3 March 1996), known as Marguerite Duras (), was a French novelist, playwright, screenwriter, essayist, and experimental filmmaker. Her script for the film ''Hiroshima mon amour'' (1959) earned her a nomination for Best Original Screenplay at the Academy Awards. Early life and education Duras was born Marguerite Donnadieu on 4 April 1914, in Gia Định, Cochinchina, French Indochina (now Vietnam). Her parents, Marie (née Legrand, 1877–1956) and Henri Donnadieu (1872–1921), were teachers from France who likely had met at Gia Định High School. They both had previous marriages. Marguerite had two older brothers: Pierre, the elder, and Paul. Duras' father fell ill and he returned to France, where he died in 1921. ''Aida'' (or ''Aïda'', ) is an opera in four acts by Giuseppe Verdi to an Italian libretto by Antonio Ghislanzoni. Set in the Old Kingdom of Egypt, it was commissioned by Cairo's Khedivial Opera House and had its première there on 24 December 1871, in a performance conducted by Giovanni Bottesini. Today the work holds a central place in the operatic canon, receiving performances every year around the world; at New York's Metropolitan Opera alone, ''Aida'' has been sung more than 1,100 times since 1886. Ernst Wilhelm "Wim" Wenders (; born 14 August 1945) is a German filmmaker, playwright, author, and photographer. He is a major figure in New German Cinema.
