The Danish ironclad ''Gorm'' was a monitor built for the Royal Danish Navy in the 1860s. She was scrapped in 1912. Description The ship was long overall with a beam of . The Hotchkiss gun can refer to different products of the Hotchkiss arms company starting in the late 19th century. A rifled breech loader (RBL) is an artillery piece which, unlike the smoothbore cannon and rifled muzzle loader (RML) which preceded it, has rifling in the barrel and is loaded from the breech at the rear of the gun. The spin imparted by the gun's rifling gives projectiles directional stability and increased range.
