Daniils Turkovs
Daniils Turkovs (born 17 February 1988) is a Latvian former professional footballer who played as a forward. Club career As a youth player, Turkovs played for Skonto FC academy, starting his professional career in 2007 with Olimps/RFS. Over a period of three seasons, Turkovs played 47 matches in the Latvian Higher League, scoring nine goals. In 2010, he was one of several Olimps/RFS players brought to Skonto FC by the newly appointed manager Aleksandrs Starkovs. He scored eight goals in 17 matches, helping the team win the championship. After the season, Turkovs went on trial with the Hungarian Nemzeti Bajnokság I club Zalaegerszegi and signed a four-year contract with them in January 2011. Playing in Hungary for two seasons, Turkovs appeared in 26 league matches, scoring six goals. In March 2012, he returned to the Latvian Higher League, joining then champions Ventspils. Jūrmala
Jūrmala (; "seaside") is a state city in Latvia, about west of Riga. Jūrmala is a resort town stretching and sandwiched between the Gulf of Riga and the Lielupe River. It has a stretch of white-sand beach, and a population of 49,325 in 2019, making it the fifth-largest city in Latvia. Latvian Higher League or Virslīga is a professional football league and the top tier of association football in Latvia. Organised by the Latvian Football Federation, the Higher League is contested by 10 clubs. The full name of the league is Optibet Virslīga for sponsorship reasons since 2019. The 2013 Latvian Higher League was the 22nd season of top-tier football in Latvia. FC Daugava were the defending champions. The season started on 29 March 2013. The league comprised ten teams. The champions of this season were FK Ventspils, followed by Skonto FC Teams The league had a ten-team circuit like the 2012 season. 2012 Latvian First League champions Ilūkstes NSS from Ilūkste were directly promoted. FK Daugava Rīga finished the 2012 season in ninth place and were therefore required to compete in a two-legged promotion/relegation play-off against First Division runners-up BFC Daugava. 2010 Latvian Higher League
2010 Latvian Higher League ( lv, LMT Virslīga 2010) was the 19th season of top-tier football in Latvia. It began on 9 April 2010 with the first round of games. Liepājas Metalurgs were the defending champions, having won their second league title last season. With the re-expansion of the league to 10 clubs, the format of the competition was altered for the third year in a row. The ten clubs played 18 rounds of matches, once at home and once away, against each of the other nine clubs in the league. After this, another nine rounds of matches were played for a total of 27 matches. The clubs finishing in the first five positions after 18 rounds received the benefit of hosting five of their last nine matches. Vladislavs Kozlovs (born 30 November 1987 in Rēzekne) is a Latvian footballer, who most recently played for FK Liepaja in the Latvian Higher League. Club career Early career As a youth player Kozlovs played for his local club SK Dižvanagi (later renamed SK Blāzma), after being spotted by coaches Ž. Ārmanis and E. Seleckis in a youth tournament. He was taken to the first team that played in the Latvian First League in 2005. Kozlovs spent one season in Rēzekne, before moving to Riga after graduation from high-school in 2006. He continued studying in Latvijas Universitāte and played for the high-school team Metta-Latvijas Universitāte.
