Daniel Ward (born 9 July 1977) is a former Australian Rules footballer for the Melbourne Demons. Ward was a defender and was named as the club's 'Most Improved Player' after the 1999 season. Two years later he was fifth in Melbourne's best and fairest. Danny Ward (born 15 June 1980) is an English professional rugby league & rugby union coach who was until recently the head coach of the Castleford Tigers in the Super League. Ward is a former professional rugby league footballer who played as a forward in the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s. He played for the Leeds Rhinos, the Castleford Tigers, Hull Kingston Rovers and Harlequins RL in the Super League, and for Great Britain and England A at international level. Ward became London Broncos academy head coach in 2014. The following year, he was named first team assistant coach, working under Andrew Henderson. Ward was promoted to head coach for 2018 and oversaw the Broncos' return to the Super League. He departed the club in 2021 and moved into rugby union coaching, before returning to the Super League as the head coach of the Castleford Tigers in 2023. Daniel Carl Ward (born 9 December 1990) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward or winger for Championship club Huddersfield Town. Career Bolton Wanderers Ward started his career in the Bradford City youth setup before he was snapped up by West Yorkshire rivals Leeds United, but he turned down a new deal at Leeds to join Premier League side Bolton Wanderers. Daniel Ward (born 22 June 1993) is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Premier League club Leicester City and the Wales national team. Ward has previously played for Liverpool and Wrexham, as well as having loan spells at Tamworth, Morecambe, Aberdeen and Huddersfield Town. Daniel Ward-Smith (born 2 January 1978) is a former New Zealand-born English rugby union player who played at number eight for Bristol & London Wasps. He also covered flanker and second row, which made him a useful forward to have in the Wasps squad. Ward-Smith was born in Palmerston North but spent his early childhood in Cornwall in the United Kingdom. He moved back to his hometown with his family when he was 13. After attending both Awatapu College and Waiopehu College he studied at Massey University.
