Daniel Vandervoort
Daniel "Danny" Vandervoort (born March 13, 1994) is a professional Canadian football wide receiver for the Edmonton Elks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Vandervoort was drafted in the first round, third overall by the BC Lions in the 2017 CFL Draft. College career Vandervoort played college football at McMaster University playing for the McMaster Marauders where he was named CIS rookie of the year in 2013. Vandervoort collected 831 yards and five touchdowns in his final season with the Mauraders. Over four years at McMaster, he hauled in 148 receptions and 2,572 receiving yards. His 29 career receiving touchdowns are also third all-time in U Sports history. Professional career BC Lions Vandervoort was the third overall selection in the 2017 CFL Draft. Barrie is a city in Southern Ontario, Canada, about north of Toronto. The city is within Simcoe County and located along the shores of Kempenfelt Bay, the western arm of Lake Simcoe. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are a professional Canadian football team based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. 2018 CFL Season
The 2018 CFL season was the 65th season of modern-day Canadian football. Officially, it was the 61st Canadian Football League season. Edmonton hosted the 106th Grey Cup on November 25, 2018. The CFL announced that this season will move to a 21-week regular season (previously a 20-week season) to increase player rest time and reduce short turnaround-times for games. Given the change, the regular season began on June 14, 2018, one week earlier than usual, and concluded on November 3, 2018.
