Daniel Ramos (footballer)
Daniel António Lopes Ramos (born 25 December 1970) is a Portuguese former footballer who played as a midfielder, currently a manager. After a playing career spent mostly at the lower levels, he embarked on a managerial career of over two decades. He led six clubs in the second tier, and five in the Primeira Liga Playing career Born in Vila do Conde, Ramos' professional input during his nine-year senior career consisted in nine Segunda Liga games, with Rio Ave FC (six) and S.C. Beira-Mar (three). He retired in June 1998, at the age of only 27. Coaching career Ramos started working as a coach with his last club Vilanovense FC, in 2001. Vila Do Conde
Vila do Conde (, ; "the Count's Town") is a municipality in the Norte Region of Portugal. The population in 2011 was 79,533, in an area of 149.03 km². The urbanized area of Vila do Conde, which includes the parishes of Vila do Conde, Azurara and Árvore, represent 36,137 inhabitants. The Segunda Divisão Portuguesa (English language, English: ''Portuguese Second Division'') was a association football, football league situated at the third level of the Portuguese football league system. The division had previously been the second level of the Portuguese pyramid but, with the creation of the Segunda Liga in 1990–91, it became the third level. The competition merged with the Terceira Divisão at the end of the 2012–13 to form a new enlarged third level league, the Campeonato Nacional de Seniores. Although it covers most sports, football is the focal point of it, and almost always is the only sport referred to on the cover. History and profile ''Record'' was founded by Manuel Dias. Dias was a newspaper vendor as well an athlete. Dias participated the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, Germany. In 1949, Dias would enter the national lottery in Portugal and would win 40 contos. The 2014–15 Campeonato Nacional de Seniores was the second season of the third-tier football league in Portugal. It began on August 24, 2014 and finished on June 14, 2015. Overview The league was divided in eight series of 10 clubs placed geographically, with the exception of teams from Madeira Islands (divided through the first series) and from the Azores Islands (divided through the last series). After a First Stage in a home-and-away system, the first two best placed teams of each league played in two groups of 8 teams in a Second Stage with each league winner earning a promotion to the LigaPro, plus a two-round play-off winner between the two second placed teams.
