Daniel Poliziani
Daniel James Poliziani (born March 5, 1959) is a Canadian ice hockey coach. He is currently an associate coach for the York University Lions Men's Ice Hockey team. Poliziani played as a Centre with the Yale Bulldogs, New Haven Nighthawks, Saginaw Gears, Fort Wayne Komets, Kalamazoo Wings, and Dundas-Hamilton Tigers. Poliziani was an assistant coach with the Yale Bulldogs from 1984–95 and was the interim head coach of the Bulldogs during the 1993–94 season, while regular head coach Tim Taylor coached the United States Olympic Team. Ice Hockey
Ice hockey (or simply hockey) is a team sport played on ice skates, usually on an ice skating rink with lines and markings specific to the sport. It belongs to a family of sports called hockey. In ice hockey, two opposing teams use ice hockey sticks to control, advance and shoot a closed, vulcanized, rubber disc called a " puck" into the other team's goal. Each goal is worth one point. The Conference of Independent Schools of Ontario Athletic Association, or CISAA, is a sports conference for various private schools located primarily in the southern part of the province of Ontario. Many of the institutions are located in or near the Greater Toronto Area; One member school, Nichols School, is located in Buffalo, New York. The CISAA grew out of the Little Big Four conference, consisting of Upper Canada College, Toronto; St. Andrew's College, Aurora; Ridley College, St. Catharines; and Trinity College School (TCS), Port Hope; four of the oldest private schools in Canada. OPJHL
The Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) is a Junior A ice hockey league in Ontario, Canada. It is under the supervision of the Ontario Hockey Association (OHA) and the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL). The league was listed as the 7th best developmental league in North America for professional and amateur ice hockey in July 2013 by the website, "TheHockeyWriters.com". The league dates back to 1954 where it began as the "Central Junior B Hockey League". In 1993, the Central Junior B Hockey League was promoted to the Junior A level and renamed the "Ontario Provincial Junior A Hockey League". In 2009, the league was dissolved by the Ontario Hockey Association and split into two leagues: the "Central Canadian Hockey League" and the "Ontario Junior A Hockey League".
