Daniel Pettersson (handballer)
Daniel Pettersson (born 6 May 1992) is a Swedish handball player for SC Magdeburg and the Swedish national team. He made international debut on the Swedish national team in March 2014, against Germany. He participated at the 2020 European Men's Handball Championship in Sweden. He also participated in bringing home the silver medal for Sweden in the 2021 World Men's Handball Championship, and gold medal in the 2022 European Men's Handball Championship. Eskilstuna () is a city and the seat of Eskilstuna Municipality, Södermanland County, Sweden. The city of Eskilstuna had 67,359 inhabitants in 2015, with a total population of 100,092 inhabitants in Eskilstuna municipality (2014). Eskilstuna has a large Sweden Finn population. The town is located on the River Eskilstunaån, which connects Lake Hjälmaren and Lake Mälaren. History Eskilstuna's history dates back to medieval times when English monk Saint Eskil made "Tuna" his base and diocese of the South coast of Lake Mälaren. Saint Eskil was stoned to death by the pagan vikings of neighbouring town Strängnäs, east of Eskilstuna, trying to convert them to Christianity. ‌The 2022 IHF Men's Super Globe was the 16th edition of the yearly club world championship in handball, held from 18 to 23 October 2022 in Dammam, Saudi Arabia under the aegis of the International Handball Federation (IHF). It was the third time in history that the event was organised by the Saudi Arabian Handball Federation. SC Magdeburg defeated Barcelona in the final to defend their title.
