Daniel Morris Monroe
Daniel Morris Monroe (born July 12, 1964) is an American artist and illustrator. In 2012, he illustrated '' Dennis the Wild Bull'', a children's book written by NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman. Since the creation of this book, Dan has gone on to illustrate books by former ''Baywatch'' actress Erika Eleniak, notable boxers such as Kostya Tszyu, Jesse James Leija, Deontay Wilder and the son of the late boxing legend Hector Camacho. Dan has also created trading cards for these boxers and actress Sybil Danning. Early life Monroe was born July 12, 1964, in Jackson, Michigan, as Todd Michael Gherring. His mother was a ward of the State of Michigan and he was put up for adoption. He was adopted at six months of age by the Monroe family, who were Pentecostal evangelists. Monroe developed drawing skills at a young age, drawing portraits of people on dinner napkins with a ball point pen. Jackson, Michigan
Jackson is the only city and county seat of Jackson County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 33,534, down from 36,316 at the 2000 census. Located along Interstate 94 and U.S. Route 127, it is approximately west of Ann Arbor and south of Lansing. Jackson is the core city of the Jackson Metropolitan Statistical Area, which includes all of Jackson County and population of 160,248. Founded in 1829, it was named after President Andrew Jackson. Michigan's first prison, Michigan State Prison (or Jackson State Prison), opened in Jackson in 1838 and remains in operation. Boogeyman
The Bogeyman (; also spelled boogeyman, bogyman, bogieman, boogie monster, boogieman, or boogie woogie) is a type of mythic creature used by adults to frighten children into good behavior. Bogeymen have no specific appearance and conceptions vary drastically by household and culture, but they are most commonly depicted as masculine or androgynous monsters that punish children for misbehavior. The Bogeyman or conceptually similar monsters can be found in many cultures around the world. Bogeymen may target a specific act or general misbehaviour, depending on what purpose needs serving, often based on a warning from the child's authority figure. The term is sometimes used as a non-specific personification or metonym for terror, and in some cases, the Devil. Cucuy
The Coco or Coca (also known as the Cucuy, Cuco, Cuca, Cucu or Cucuí) is a mythical ghost-like monster, equivalent to the bogeyman, found in many Hispanophone and Lusophone countries. It can also be considered an Iberian version of a bugbear as it is a commonly used figure of speech representing an irrational or exaggerated fear. The Cucuy is a male being while Cuca is a female version of the mythical monster. The "monster" will come to the house of disobedient children and make them "disappear".
