Daniel Livermore
J. Daniel Livermore is a Canadian academic and historian who was formerly a foreign service officer in Canada's Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade. Born in St. Catharines, Ontario, in 1946, Livermore was educated in public schools in St. Catharines (Edith Cavell Public School and Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School). He obtained his B.A. in History and Politics from Brock University in 1969, his Master's from Carleton University in 1970, and his PhD from Queen's University in 1975. He also did additional graduate work in international relations at Johns Hopkins University in Washington, D.C. In 1993-94 he was the Skelton-Clark Fellow and Senior Visiting Associate at the Centre for International Relations at Queen's University.
