Daniel Layus
Daniel Robin Layus (born September 10, 1983) is an American musician. He was the vocalist, pianist, and primary lyricist for the band Augustana and performs solo both under his own name as well as ''Augustana''. On October 21, 2016, he debuted his first solo work, an album titled ''Dangerous Things''. Early life Layus was born in Southern California. In 2002 at Greenville College in Illinois, Dan Layus brought friends Josiah Rosen, Kyle Baker, and Simeon Lohrmann together to write and create music. Career Augustana (2002–2005) Augustana began by re-recording the song "More than a Love Song", a song which Dan had written for his high school girlfriend while living in California. In 2003, when Layus was 19, Augustana released their debut album, ''Midwest Skies and Sleepless Mondays''. Later that year, the band recorded and released 25 copies of the Mayfield EP. Snow Patrol are a Northern Irish–Scottish Rock music, rock band formed in 1994 in Dundee, Scotland. They consist of Gary Lightbody (vocals, guitar), Nathan Connolly (guitar, backing vocals), Paul Wilson (musician), Paul Wilson (bass guitar, backing vocals), Jonny Quinn (drums), and Johnny McDaid (piano, guitar, backing vocals). DCX MMXVI World Tour
The DCX MMXVI World Tour was the fifth headlining concert tour from American country music trio Dixie Chicks. It started on April 16, 2016, in Antwerp, Belgium and finished on April 18, 2017, in London, Ontario, Canada. This tour is the first time in ten years the band has toured the United States and Australia as a headlining act. It is the first time the band will perform in New Zealand. For the shows in 2017, the tour was renamed the DCX MMXVII World Tour. The sound of the show is more guitar and rock and roll driven than earlier shows, with re-worked Dixie Chicks classics and several covers by Patty Griffin, Lana Del Rey, Beyoncé, and Bob Dylan. The Chicks (previously known as Dixie Chicks) are an American country music band from Dallas, Texas. Since 1995, the band has consisted of Natalie Maines (lead vocals, guitar) and sisters Martie Maguire (vocals, fiddle, mandolin, guitar) and Emily Strayer (vocals, guitar, banjo, Dobro). Vega4 was a four-piece alternative rock band formed in London consisted of Johnny McDaid (lead vocalist and songwriter), Bruce Gainsford (guitar), Gavin Fox (bassist) and Bryan McLellan (drummer). However, the single " Boston" was used during an episode of the CW series ''One Tree Hill'' in 2006 and propelled the band into national prominence.
