Daniel Innis
Daniel E. Innis (born April 7, 1963) is an American academic and politician. He served as a Republican State Senator, representing District 24 in the New Hampshire Senate from 2016-2018. He is also a professor of marketing and hospitality management at the University of New Hampshire. He served as the Dean of the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire from 2007 to 2013, overseeing major developments at the school. Academic career Prior to his tenure at the University of New Hampshire, Innis served as the dean of the College of Business, Public Policy and Health at the University of Maine in Orono. He also served Ohio University as the Associate Dean of the College of Business, Chair of the Marketing Department, and was a professor in the Marketing Department. The New Hampshire Senate has been meeting since 1784. It is the upper house of the New Hampshire General Court, alongside the lower New Hampshire House of Representatives. It consists of 24 members representing Senate districts based on population. As of December 2, 2020, there are 14 Republicans and 10 Democrats. It has the fewest members among upper legislative chambers in the United States. While the majority of the town is inland, North Hampton includes a part of New Hampshire's limited Atlantic seacoast. History Once a parish of Hampton, Kensington was incorporated in 1737 by New Hampshire governor Jonathan Belcher. Hampton Falls (formerly the "Third Parish and Hampton Falls") is a town in Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 2,403 at the 2020 census. History The land of Hampton Falls was first settled by Europeans in 1638, the same time as Hampton, of which it was then a part. The settlement of Hampton joined Norfolk County, Massachusetts Colony, in 1643, along with Exeter, Dover, Portsmouth, Salisbury and Haverhill. The county existed until 1679, when the modern-day New Hampshire towns separated from the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Records indicate a building that became a church may have existed near where the Weare Monument now is in 1665, but when it was first built is unknown. Greenland, New Hampshire
Greenland is a town in Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 4,067 at the 2020 census, up from 3,549 at the 2010 census. It is drained by the Winnicut River and bounded on the northwest by Great Bay. History One of the earliest settlements in the state, Greenland was a parish of Portsmouth (then called Strawbery Banke) operating in 1638. Captain Francis Champernowne moved from Strawbery Banke in 1640 and settled in the area of the present Portsmouth Country Club. Carol Shea-Porter
Carol Shea-Porter (born December 2, 1952) is an American politician and member of the Democratic Party who is the former member of the United States House of Representatives for . She held the seat from 2007 to 2011, 2013 to 2015, and 2017 to 2019. Shea-Porter was first elected in 2006, defeating Republican incumbent Jeb Bradley. She beat Bradley again in 2008 but was defeated in 2010 by former Manchester Mayor Frank Guinta and left Congress in January 2011.
