Daniel Hargraves
Daniel Hargraves (born 6 December 1975) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Western Bulldogs and Fremantle in the Australian Football League. He was originally drafted by the Bulldogs from the Eastern Under 18 side in the Under 18 Victorian Metropolitan Football League with selection 27 in the 1994 AFL pre-season draft. After playing 38 games over four seasons, he was traded to Fremantle in return for selection 18, which was used by the Bulldogs to draft Mark Alvey. Hargraves would play only three games for Fremantle in two seasons before being delisted at the end of the 1999 season. He then moved to South Australia to play for North Adelaide in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) where he won the Ken Farmer Medal in 2002 as the SANFL's leading goal kicker with 68 goals. Mark Alvey
Mark Garry Alvey (born 10 June 1980) is a former Australian rules football player who was drafted by the Western Bulldogs in the 1997 draft from the Bendigo U18s. He is originally from Curlwaa in Southern New South Wales and earned a football scholarship to move to Bendigo at the age of 16. A small player (height 176 cm), he was used mostly as a midfielder, rotating through the forward pocket. He never managed to make it into the Western Bulldogs’ best 18 on a consistent basis, which is not surprising considering that his rivals for positions in that part of the ground during this period included Tony Liberatore, Scott West and Jose Romero. The Wimmera Football League is a major Australian rules country league based in Western Victoria, with clubs located in towns in the Wimmera region: the regional centres along the Western Highway from Ararat to Nhill as well as Minyip-Murtoa and Warracknabeal. History A Wimmera Football Association was first formed in 1902, with teams from Ararat, Horsham and Stawell as the founding clubs. In 1921 the Wimmera District Football League was formed. The seven original clubs were Ararat, Horsham, Minyip, Murtoa, Rupanyup, Stawell and Warracknabael.
