Daniel Elliott (Indiana Politician)
Daniel Elliott is an American politician from Indiana. A member of the Republican Party, Elliott is the current Indiana State Treasurer. Early life and career Elliott grew up in rural Jennings County, Indiana and now lives in Morgan County. Elliott started his own software development business based in Martinsville, Indiana. Elliott graduated from Utah Valley University with a bachelor's degree in business and computer science. Elliott ran for the Indiana House of Representatives in the 2012 elections, losing in the Republican Party primary election to Peggy Mayfield. In 2013, he was elected chair of the Morgan County Republican Party. In 2016 Daniel was elected as a member of the Morgan County Council. Elliott has served for many years as President of the Morgan County Redevelopment Commission and as a member of the Morgan County Economic Development Corporation. Indiana State Treasurer
The Indiana Treasurer of State is a constitutional and elected office in the executive branch of the government of Indiana. The treasurer is responsible for managing the finances of the U.S. state of Indiana. The position was filled by appointment from 1816 until the adoption of the new Constitution of Indiana in 1851, which made the position filled by election. As of 2018, there have been fifty-five treasurers. The incumbent is Republican Kelly Mitchell who has served in the position since November 18, 2014. Mormons are a religious and cultural group related to Mormonism, the principal branch of the Latter Day Saint movement started by Joseph Smith in upstate New York during the 1820s. Eric Joseph Holcomb (born May 2, 1968) is an American politician who is the 51st and current governor of Indiana, serving since 2017. A member of the Republican Party, he served as the 51st lieutenant governor of Indiana from 2016 to 2017 under Governor Mike Pence, who left the governorship in 2017 to become the vice president of the United States.
