Daniel Connor
Daniel Connor (1831–12 January 1898) was an Irish convict transported to the colony in western Australia, who would go on to become one of the wealthiest, and most successful men in the region. Daniel Connor was born in County Kerry, Ireland in 1831. Nothing is known of his early life, but on 20 June 1850, he was sentenced to seven years' transportation for sheep stealing. He arrived in western Australia on the on 30 August 1853. During his time as a convict he went by the surname Connors; Stephenson (1983) states that this was "to confuse researchers of his history in later years". Connor received his ticket of leave on 11 August 1854 and his conditional pardon on 17 November 1855. In 1859, he married Catherine Conway (1835 - 1916). Connor worked as a hawker until 1861, then bought land in Newcastle (now Toodyay), upon which he built a small store. He later purchased a number of other town lots and built upon a number of them. Daniel Murphy Connor (born November 2, 1985) is an American football coach and a former linebacker in the National Football League for the Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants. He played college football at Penn State University, where he is currently a defensive analyst. Early years Connor was born in Wallingford, Pennsylvania. He attended Strath Haven High School, where he was a four-year starter and was rated the number one linebacker in the country. He was also named to the ''USA Today'' Top 25 Supreme Team. He played in the 2004 U.S. Army All-American Bowl. As a junior, he rushed for over 1,500 yards and scored 29 touchdowns. On defense, he had more than 160 tackles to go along with 3 interceptions. Daniel Connor (born 31 January 1981 in Dublin) is a retired Irish football goalkeeper who is currently goalkeeper coach at Forest Green Rovers and Republic of Ireland U21. Connor was one of the more experienced goalkeepers in the league, having previously played for Peterborough United, Waterford United and Drogheda United. He also represented the Republic of Ireland at both U21 and B level, making his U21 debut in Buckley Park in June 2003 against Georgia. While with Waterford United he scored the winning goal in the FAI Cup semi-final in 2004. Following his release from Drogheda United at the end of the 2008 season, it was confirmed on 23 January 2009 that Connor had signed for Cork City, where he linked up with former Drogheda manager Paul Doolin. Dan Conner is a fictional character in the television series ''Roseanne'' created by comedian and namesake Roseanne Barr and portrayed by actor John Goodman. He is the husband to Roseanne Conner, and father to two daughters, Darlene and Becky, and two sons, D.J. and Jerry Garcia. Throughout the years, Goodman has won several awards, including a Golden Globe, for his portrayal of Dan Conner. ''Roseanne'' ran from 1988 to 1997. Daniel Connors (born 22 September 1988) is an Australian rules footballer who was selected at number 58 overall in the 2006 AFL national draft by the Richmond Football Club. Originally from the Echuca Football Club, he played for Bendigo Pioneers in the TAC Cup and was named in the 2006 TAC Cup Team of the Year and the All-Australian team after representing Victoria Country at the National Under 18 Championships. Daniel Connors was considered a "steal" from the 2006 National Draft as many touted him as a possible top 20 pick but slipped down to the 58th selection where Richmond selected him with their third selection.
