Daniel Nicholas Armstrong (born 24 March 2005) is a Finnish footballer who plays as a defender and midfielder for Italian club Atalanta U19 in Primavera 1 and the Finland U19 national team. Youth career Armstrong played in the youth sector of Ilves in Finland, before joining the youth academy of Atalanta on a two-year deal in 2022, for an undisclosed fee. International career Armstrong has worn the captain's armband in under-15, under-17 and under-18 youth national team games. Armstrong was named in the Finland U17 squad for the 2022 UEFA European Under-17 Championship qualification tournament, against Bosnia-Herzegovina, Switzerland and Gibraltar, scoring one goal and providing an assist in three games. Finland finished 2nd in the group and advanced to the Elite round. Keith Armstrong (footballer)
Keith Thomas Armstrong (born 11 October 1957) is a former footballer who played in the Football League for Sunderland, Newport County and Scunthorpe United, and in Finland for a number of clubs, where he also coached. Born in England, Armstrong became a naturalised Finn in the early 1990s, and enjoyed a long and successful coaching career in Finland with Rovaniemen Palloseura, TP-Seinäjoki, FC Haka and most recently HJK Helsinki. Armstrong is one of the most successful football managers in the Finnish league, having won five Veikkausliiga championships, two Finnish Cups, and two Manager of the Year awards. The 2024 UEFA European Under-19 Championship qualifying competition is a men's under-19 football competition to determine the seven teams joining the automatically qualified hosts Northern Ireland in the 2024 UEFA European Under-19 Championship final tournament.
