Daniel Abraham (born 11 March 1981) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who previously played for the Newcastle Knights and North Queensland Cowboys of the National Rugby League. He primarily played and . Background Born in Belmont, New South Wales, Abraham played his junior football for the Booragul-Teralba Bears and Valentine-Eleebana Red Devils before being signed by the Newcastle Knights. Playing career In Round 9 of the 2000 NRL season, he made his NRL debut for the Knights against the Penrith Panthers. After playing just 15 games in the NRL, Abraham came off the bench in Newcastle's 2001 NRL Grand Final win against the Parramatta Eels. Having won the 2001 NRL Premiership, the Knights traveled to England to play the 2002 World Club Challenge against Super League champions, the Bradford Bulls. Belmont, New South Wales
Belmont is a suburb in Greater Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia, located from Newcastle's central business district on the eastern side of Lake Macquarie and is part of the City of Lake Macquarie council. Belmont is situated on a sandy peninsula formed by the Tasman Sea on the east and Lake Macquarie. History The area around Belmont was inhabited by the Awabakal tribe of Aborigines. The Central Coast Roosters, formerly Central Coast Centurions, are an Australian rugby league football club (previously known as the Rip or Storm) based in the Central Coast region in New South Wales. They competed in the New South Wales Cup which they exited in 2011. The club still competes in the NSWRL Women's Premiership, S. G. Ball Cup and Harold Matthews Cup competitions.
