Daniel (Brazilian Singer)
José Daniel Camillo (born September 9, 1968, in Brotas, São Paulo), better known as Daniel, is a Brazilian sertanejo and romantic singer and songwriter, and occasional actor. Originally part of sertanejo duo João Paulo & Daniel, he has maintained a solo career since the untimely death of João Paulo in 1998. On June 5, 2012, he was confirmed as one of the coaches for the first season of upcoming reality television show ''The Voice Brasil ''The Voice Brasil'' is a current Brazilian reality talent show which premiered on TV Globo on September 23, 2012. Brotas
Brotas is a Brazilian municipality located in the state of São Paulo. The population is 24,636 (2020 est.) in an area of 1101 km2. The town is known locally for its coffee, on which its economy relies. History The city's history started in 1839 when a chapel was built which originated a settlement around it. Brotas became a district of Araraquara in 1841, then it became a district of Rio Claro in 1853. On August 22, 1859, the district was promoted to a municipality. The municipality experienced its greater development era during the coffee farming expansion which occurred between the 1920s and the 1930s. During this era the city received a large number of Italian immigrants. Due to the coffee agriculture decline, a large number of Brotas' citizens migrated to larger cities. The municipality contains 44% of the Itirapina Ecological Station, created in 1984. ''Planeta Xuxa'' ( en, Planet Xuxa, italic=yes) was a Brazilian television program directed by Marlene Mattos and hosted by Xuxa Meneghel. It was aired by TV Globo from 5 April 1997 to 28 July 2002. Aimed at the family and teenagers, it was initially broadcasting on Saturday afternoons. As of 19 April 1998, the TV show was aired on Sundays due to the transmissions of the 1998 World Cup, remaining on Sundays until its final broadcast in 2002.
