''Daniel's Gotta Die'' is a 2022 Canadian comedy thriller film directed by Jeremy LaLonde and written by Matthew Dressel. The film stars Joel David Moore, Jason Jones, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Carly Chaikin, Chantel Riley, Iggy Pop, and Bob Saget. It is Saget's final film before his death. Premise Daniel Powell's plan to reconnect with his siblings hits a snag when he discovers they all want to kill him for his inheritance. As the brothers and sisters are forced to spend the weekend together at the family beach house on the Cayman Islands, one thing becomes painfully clear: Daniel's going to find out what family means, even if it kills him. Cast Production The screenplay was originally titled ''Killing Daniel'' and written by Dressel in 2011. Jeremy LaLonde (born January 7, 1981) is a Canadian filmmaker. He is known for his work in Canadian film and television. Early life LaLonde grew up in Cayuga, Ontario. After graduating from Niagara College, LaLonde moved to Toronto to begin his career as a filmmaker. To support himself he worked as an editor in commercials as well as such television series as ''Wipeout Canada, Princess, Meet The Family, You Gotta Eat Here, Tessa & Scott'', and most recently ''Baroness Von Sketch Show''. Career His short film '' Out'', which premiered at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival, went on to screen at over two dozen film festivals including Outfest and Whistler Film Festival.
