Concorde Anois
Concorde Anois was a short lived film production company based in Ireland that operated in the late 1990s. It was an offshoot of Roger Corman's Concorde Pictures. Anois is the Irish language word for 'now'. History Corman was invited to set up operations in Ireland by the Irish government, keen to develop filmmaking in the west of the country. He built studios in Connemara, County Galway. He received a start-up grant from Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht, Michael D. Higgins. Around twenty films were made, using Irish crew and actors. They were mostly in exploitation genres such as action adventure, suspense thrillers, science fiction, and horror The assistance provided by the Irish government became controversial when the content of some Corman productions such as ''Criminal Affairs'' was criticised in the press. Christopher Wood (writer)
Christopher Hovelle Wood (5 November 1935 – 9 May 2015) was an English screenwriter and novelist, best known for the ''Confessions'' series of novels and films which he wrote as Timothy Lea. Under his own name, he adapted two James Bond novels for the screen: '' The Spy Who Loved Me'' (1977, with Richard Maibaum) and '' Moonraker'' (1979). Wood's many novels divide into four groups: semi-autobiographical literary fiction, historical fiction, adventure novels, and pseudonymous humorous erotica. Life and career Family Christopher Wood was the son of Walter Leonard Wood and Audrey Maud (Hovell) Wood (born 1906). They were married in 1935. He was born in London borough of Lambeth. Wood had three children, one of whom is film producer and literary agent Caroline Wood. Wood died at his apartment in southwest France on 9 May 2015, and was survived by his son and daughter. NC got its start in 1983 when Corman formed the production and distribution Concorde-New Horizons (CNH) as one of the first production companies to develop and take advantage of video as a distribution tool. John Frederick Dryer (born July 6, 1946) is an American actor, radio host, screenwriter and former professional football player. He was a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) for 13 years, participating in 176 games starting in 1969 until his retirement in 1981.
