''Dangal'' is the soundtrack album for the 2016 Hindi sports biopic film of the same name. The film directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao and Siddharth Roy Kapur, features music composed by Pritam and lyrics written by Amitabh Bhattacharya in Hindi, Rajesh Malarvannan in Tamil and Rajshri Sudhakar in Telugu. The film marks the second collaboration of Aamir Khan and Pritam, after ''Dhoom 3'' (2013). The songs were composed at Panchgani House in June 2015. Daler Mehndi had sung the title track of the film. The song "Dhaakad" was sung by rapper Raftaar in Haryanvi, Tamil and Telugu (as "Jaakirathai" and "Jaagradha") and became popular. Pritam Chakraborty (born 14 June 1971), also known mononymously as Pritam, is an Indian composer, instrumentalist, guitarist, and singer. After working as an ad jingles composer, he debuted as a co-composer in the 2001 Hindi film Tere Liye. As a solo composer, his composition of the title track of Dhoom helped him win the Zee Cine Award for Best Track of the Year. Nitesh Tiwari is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and lyricist known for his works in Bollywood. He debuted as a co-director in '' Chillar Party'' (2011) which won the National Film Award for Best Children's Film for that year. He then helmed the supernatural political drama '' Bhoothnath Returns'' (2014). In 2016, Tiwari scripted and directed '' Dangal'' which was screened at the Beijing International Film Festival in April 2017 and second BRICS festival in June 2017. The Nooran Sisters are Sultana Nooran (born 14 June 1992) and Jyoti Nooran (born 24 February 1994) who are a devotional Sufi singing duo from Hoshiarpur, Punjab, India. Dilin Nair (born 16 November 1988), better known by his stage name Raftaar, is an Indian rapper, lyricist, dancer, TV personality and music composer associated with Hindi and Punjabi music.
