Season nineteen of ''Dancing with the Stars'' premiered on September 15, 2014. On November 25, actor Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson were crowned the champions, while ''Duck Dynasty'' star Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas finished in second place, and '' Pretty Little Liars'' actress Janel Parrish and Valentin Chmerkovskiy finished in third. Cheryl Burke, who was featured on every season of the show except the first, decided to leave when her contract expired at the end of this season. She would later return in season 23. Kym Johnson
Kym Herjavec (née Johnson; born 4 August 1976) is an Australian professional ballroom dancer and television performer who appeared in the first three seasons of the Australian version of ''Dancing with the Stars'' as a professional dancer, before moving to the U.S. version of the franchise from 2006 to 2015. Johnson returned as a professional to the U.S. series in 2017 for its 24th season. She also served as a judge on the Australian version of the show from 2013 to 2015. Valentin Aleksandrovich "Val" Chmerkovskiy ( uk, Валентин Олександрович "Вал" Чмерковський; born March 24, 1986) is a Ukrainian-American professional dancer, best known for his appearances on the U.S. version of ''Dancing with the Stars'', which he won twice. Chmerkovskiy is a two-time World Latin Dance Champion (Junior and Youth) and a 14-time U.S. National Latin Dance champion. Early life and career Chmerkovskiy was born in the Ukrainian city of Odesa, in what was then the Soviet Union. His parents are Aleksandr "Sasha" Chmerkovskiy and Larisa Chmerkovskaya. Derek Hough
Derek Bruce Hough (; born May 17, 1985) is an American professional Latin and ballroom dancer, choreographer, actor and singer. From 2007 to 2016, Hough was a professional dancer on the ABC dance competition series ''Dancing with the Stars'', winning the show a record-breaking six times with his celebrity partners. For his work, Hough received eleven nominations for the Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Choreography, winning the award three times. The second season of ''So You Think You Can Dance'' premiered on May 25, 2006, with new host Cat Deeley. Allison Renae Holker (born February 6, 1988) is an American dancer, choreographer, and actress. Holker has worked in film, television, and concert tours. She is known for appearances on the television dance competition '' So You Think You Can Dance'', where she was a contestant in season 2 and as an All-Star in seasons 7–11 and 14. Driton Dovolani (born July 17, 1973), commonly known as Tony Dovolani is an Albanian-American professional ballroom dancer, instructor and judge.
