Season twelve of ''Dancing with the Stars'' premiered on March 21, 2011, on the ABC network. Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward and Kym Johnson were the winners of the competition, while actress Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy finished second, and Disney star Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas finished third. The cast was revealed on February 28, 2011, during '' The Bachelor'', and the professional partners were revealed on March 2. Cheryl Burke (born May 3, 1984) is an American dancer, model, and television host. She is best known for being a professional dancer on ABC's '' Dancing with the Stars''. She was the first female professional to win the show and the first professional to win twice and also consecutively. She has participated in 26 seasons. Season fifteen of '' Dancing with the Stars'', called ''Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars'', premiered on September 24, 2012, on the ABC network. Season 15 was the first to feature an "all-star" cast of returning celebrities. Six of the returning finalists had already won the title in prior seasons: Kelly Monaco, Drew Lachey, Emmitt Smith, Apolo Anton Ohno, Hélio Castroneves, and Shawn Johnson. Additionally, it was the only season to date to offer fractional (0.5) scores. Five contestants reunited with their original partners, while the other eight danced with new partners. Peta Jane Murgatroyd (born 14 July 1986) is a New Zealand-born Australian and American professional Latin dancer. She performed in the international tour of the dance production ''Burn the Floor'', including its Broadway run. She is best known for her appearances on the American edition of ''Dancing with the Stars (U.S. TV series), Dancing with the Stars'', which she and her partners have won twice. Oksana (Dmytrenko) Platero ( ua, Оксана Дмитренко) is a Ukrainian ballroom and Latin dancer. She spent five seasons as a member of the troupe on Dancing with the Stars in the United States.
