''Dancing with the Stars'' returned for a third series on 6 January 2019 on RTÉ One for a twelve-week run. Nicky Byrne returned as host for a third year, joined by Jennifer Zamparelli who replaces Amanda Byram as co-host. Brian Redmond, Loraine Barry and Julian Benson all returned as judges. Couples On 2 December 2018, Mairéad Ronan, was officially announced as the first celebrity to be taking part. Celebrity reveals then continued every day until 7 December when the final three contestants were revealed during an appearance on '' The Late Late Show. On 26 December 2018, professional dancer Curtis Pritchard was involved in an incident where he and his brother, AJ Pritchard, were attacked in a nightclub by eight people. Curtis sustained injuries to his face, eye and knee. Because of the attack, Curtis was forced to undergo surgery on his knee, he was therefore ruled out of taking part in the series until further notice. Mairead Ronan
Mairead Ronan (; born 3 April 1980) is an Irish television and radio presenter. Early life Ronan was born in Finglas on the Northside of Dublin. She attended a HR Management course after leaving school, but switched to a media course at Ballyfermot College of Further Education. Radio career Ronan was featured on ''The Ray D'Arcy Show'' that originally aired every weekday morning on Today FM. She initially interned on the show before being promoted to broadcasting assistant, and then became co-producer, also featuring as an on-air contributor. Trent Whiddon is an Australian people, Australian dancer and choreographer, best known for his professional appearances on the BBC One dance series ''Strictly Come Dancing''. Denis Bastick (born 8 May 1981) is a Gaelic footballer who plays for Templeogue Synge Street and, formerly, for the Dublin county team. Biography Bastick attended St. Josephs BNS Primary School in Terenure. Bastick's club side Templeogue Synge Street won promotion to the top league in Dublin football for 2007. Peter Alexander Stringer (born 13 December 1977) is an Irish former rugby union player who played at scrum-half. He played 13 seasons with Irish province Munster from 1998 to 2011; he then played seven seasons from 2011 to 2018 in England with various teams — Saracens, Newcastle Falcons, Bath, Sale Sharks and Worcester Warriors. Miss World Ireland is a national Beauty pageant in Ireland. Winners of the competition represent Ireland at Miss World.
